Selection Process:

Shortlisting of Applications: The Integrated Headquarters of MoD (Army) reserves the right to shortlist applications based on a cut-off percentage of marks obtained by the candidates in their Engineering Degree. This cut-off may vary for different engineering streams.
SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for the SSB (Services Selection Board) interview, which is a two-stage process conducted at various Selection Centres (Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bangalore, Jalandhar).
Stage I: This stage involves screening tests including an Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) test and Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PP&DT). Candidates who clear Stage I will proceed to Stage II. Those who fail will be returned on the same day.
Stage II: This stage comprises Psychological Tests, Group Testing Officer (GTO) Tasks, and a Personal Interview, conducted over a period of 4 days.
Medical Examination: Candidates who are recommended after Stage II of the SSB interview will undergo a medical examination as per the standards prescribed by the Indian Army.
Merit List: A merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the SSB interview. Candidates who are medically fit and appear in the merit list will be issued joining letters to undergo training at IMA, Dehradun, subject to the availability of vacancies in their respective engineering streams. Tie-breaking criteria include older candidates being ranked higher, and if ages are also the same, then candidates with a higher percentage of marks in the qualifying degree will be placed higher in the merit.
